Hill of Caballo

A hill that has a gentle slope when seen from the west side, but that appears more rugged on its northern, southern and eastern sides. It has a predominantly hilly topography with a large accumulation of debris on the west side, while it falls abruptly towards the valley of the Lanjarón River and the south. In the landscape, the predominant element over the rest is undoubtedly the relief, with a steep slope on siliceous materials (screes).
Location
To the northwest of the municipality and at the top of the right bank of the river. With its 3,009 meters it is the highest point of the river, crowning the crest that begins to be drawn in the Morrón and that runs along the hill of the Caballo, then extending further north towards the "lock of the river".
Season of use
Preferably the summer season, although depending on the activity you want to do.
Notable values
Above all, its impressive visual basin and the fact that it is the first of the western “three-thousanders” of the Sierra Nevada massif.
