Nájera Lagoon

It occupies a wide flat basin that gradually becomes steeper towards its eastern end, looking for the river valley. Here you can see morainic deposits, scree, and small glacial cirques like this one, transformed in post-glacial times into lagoons.



Location



In the northern third of the municipal area, on the western slope of the Lanjarón River. Specifically, we see it on a flat area on the northern slope of the Tajo de los Machos.



Seasonal use



All year round, although depending on the activity to be carried out, one season or another will be chosen.



Outstanding values



These are likely to be used in relation to the interpretation of the glacial landscape, since remains of the most characteristic elements of this appear. In addition, it shares the values ​​of the high mountains, with the presence of specific fauna and flora, among which the great quantity of endemic flora of these peaks and of course the frequent presence of the mountain goat should be highlighted.
